Overcoming Chronic Pain with Curamin® Extra Strength in 3 Simple Steps + 6 Morning Yoga Poses to Help Relieve Your Pain

When I was 22 years old I was diagnosed with endometriosis. For years I struggled with pain, not knowing what is was or where it was even coming from. There were times where I was bent over clutching at my stomach, the pain so severe I felt like I was being stabbed repeatedly. Other times the throbbing and burning inside my lower abdomen became so debilitating I’d be in bed all day long. I missed out on classes, major events, and almost didn’t even start my masters program because I had to have last minute surgery. Needless to say,  I was pretty miserable.

I couldn’t wrap my brain around living and feeling this way forever. But watching both my Mom and my Grandma battle with endometriosis pretty much put every doubt in my mind of ever finding relief. The severe pain came (and continues to come) in waves, but the chronic pelvic pain persisted throughout my early twenties and continued to be a permanent fixture in my life.

Eventually I decided I was done being controlled by pain and disease, and the slew of over-the-counter pain medications and prescription drugs that were not only not helping, but were seeming to make the situation much worse. It was time to take matters into my own hands. [Cue: Curamin® Stop The Pain in a superman cape.] 

To my great pleasure, I quickly discovered through diet and exercise I was able to curb the pain and maintain a measure of control. On top of curbing the pain, I also discovered I could live pain FREE (!!) for extended periods of time when taking Curamin®. 

Pain doesn’t have to control your life, and honestly, it shouldn’tOver the past 6 years I’ve learned to not only live and deal with the struggles that come along with having an inflammatory disease, but how to thrive and continue living a normal life – unhindered by pain. So … what’s my secret?!

  1. Hydrate! I start every morning with a mug of warm tea (or sometimes just some boiled water and ginger), and a big glass of cold water with lemon. It’s especially important to stay as hydrated as possible! 
  2. Curamin® Extra Strength! I take 2 in the AM and 1 in PM, but you can also do 1-3x a day depending on your pain and preference. 
  3. Exercise! It’s natural when we’re in pain to want to avoid this one, but a deep stretch and some gentle movement is exactly what your body might be needing.
